As part of our goal to get kids "ready to learn", KVIE's Ready To Learn program is helping parents, teachers, childcare providers, and other caregivers throughout the Central Valley use public television resources to help children love learning.

 Science Sunday: In our effort to promote school readiness for children throughout the Central Valley, KVIE has created “Science Sunday” from 6:00am to 9:00am on KVIE Channel 6. Science Sunday will introduce kids to age-appropriate science concepts by encouraging them to explore and investigate the world around them, discover how different things live, grow and change in their backyard and neighborhood, and pursue questions and conduct experiments.
 KVIE invites families to live well, be well and thrive through an exciting new campaign that encourages children to eat healthy and stay active. The new initiative, For Healthy Kids, demonstrates the importance of childhood nutrition and offers valuable tips for parents to help their children enjoy healthy foods and an active lifestyle.
